Charter Community Exchange

Welcome to the USCS Charter Community Exchange, formerly known as the "Interactive Area." This section of the site provides tools to enable collaboration, information exchange, and discussion among participants of the USCS web site. The information in the charter community exchange is available to all visitors to view or read. However, in order to participate — by sending a message to a discussion group, submitting a school profile, or commenting on a sample document, for example — you need first to Join, or register. Joining is free and requires no obligation. If you've forgotten your password, use this form. If you are concerned about how the information in the Charter Community Exchange is used, please read our privacy policy. Joining allows you to create a participant profile and use the other features described below:


Participant Profiles. Create a personal profile that allows other participants to contact you or find out more about the work you do. If you have already joined the site previously, you can Login at any time. Remember, you must login to the site in order to share information in the Charter Community Exchange. Discussion Groups. Pose questions, post job announcements, or share ideas and effective practices by joining any of our two dozen discussion groups. There are both state-specific discussion groups and groups focused on topics of national significance to charter schools, such as accountability; budget and facilities; and special education. Send and receive messages either from the web or your e-mail, and read archived discussions of all of the groups on the web. Communities. Participate in a group within the Charter School Community Exchange, which allows an organization to utilize the USCS interactive features on its own web site.
