Description: The mission of the DCPCSA is to increase opportunities and outcomes for students by supporting the development, growth, and sustainability of quality charter schools in Washington, DC. The Association was created by and for DC public charter schools in 2004 to serve as their collective voice. It focuses on three key areas: (1) Policy and Advocacy-serving as a clearinghouse of information about federal and local education policy, legislation, and regulations; (2) School Quality-by facilitating access to information, best practices, training and technical assistance, and networking across schools; and (3) Public Engagement-working to improve the image of and build public support for charter schools in DC and nationally.
