School Evaluation Services (SES) provides independent analysis of public schools' educational results in light of their resources and how they are used. The purpose of SES is to provide impartial observations and benchmarks that can help local and state officials, educators, taxpayers, parents, and other stakeholders better understand the complexities surrounding public education and make better-informed decisions about their schools. By shedding light on data that are almost universally collected but often underutilized, Standard & Poor's hopes to facilitate improvement in the reporting and use of education information.
