I think that you are right that "there is a need for those of us who have found success with our particular approaches to be able to share those successes so that they can be adapted or tested by others." One way that I have seen this accomplished is by using action research to better make decisions based on data.
Action research can be used at the organizational, administrative, or instructional level to effect improvement within an educational system. For example, in one school in Hawaii all teachers learned how to use action research so they could make better instructional decisions in their classroom.
However, methods of disseminating information about these small research-based models are limited. Unfortunately, most educational journals do not focus on this type research that is being done in charter schools. Any ideas on how to get this information out?
