I think the union question begs the question of why do teachers unionize? My understanding is that teachers unionize when they are unhappy and to some extent exploited. While I am sure there are exceptions, I think many charter school teachers are not unionizing because school leaders are meeting their requirements-both financial and quality of work environment. Am I off here? Perhaps teachers are just leaving charter schools and moving to district schools rather than unioninze the charter???
