We have found that it is important to build a community of learners in our school. This community is as much for the teachers as for the students. Each teacher is a member of a Critical Friends Group that is teacher led. In these groups, we examine our practice and share ideas. In this way, teachers can take strategies and ideas, from others in our building, and modify them for use in their classroom. I have learned so much from listening to others and examining their work. We also look at student work, in our CFG, to see how we might better meet the needs of all our students. This is a great,non-threatening way to share ideas, assignments and work.
