What really matters 6/10/04 11:04 AM

Well said, Dorothy! It's exciting and inspiring for me as a principal to read such a clear articulation of what matters to a high quality teacher. As I work with principals on leadership training, it is exactly these five things that we seek to emphasize. Is it too simplistic to say that it all boils down to developing and maintaining high quality relationships throughout the school? I am reminded of the saying, "I won't care what you know until I know that you care." We spend so much of our time pouring over data and teaching techniques (which are critical, of course), sometimes we neglect the foundation of relationships.
