As a principal of a small rural charter school, where everyone must wear multiple hats, thus where there is little time to delve into research, I am eagerly waiting for a readily accessible listing of what works, like Doug has mentioned. We obviously can't trust every claim made by vendors about the "research base" behind their products. Yet, like Doug has suggested, there is a need for those of us who have found success with our particular approaches to be able to share those successes so that they can be adapted or tested by others. Perhaps it would help to have more on-line discussions that highlight what we practitioners have found works for specific learning areas (e.g. problem solving)or for specific populations (e.g. Native American).
