Bring In Non-educators As Well 6/10/04 6:08 AM
Author: Roger W. Bourassa View Thread

Exactly Patricia! Although I am an educator, my knowledge is limited. The process of planning and developing the educational program that I envision has involved many individuals from a variety of educational organizations: elementary/secondary schools, universities, and non-profits. In addition, because our curriculum content is focused and concentrated within the maritime realm, we have also relied on the knowledge expertise of maritime related organizations. The most enthusiastic supporters have been those from the later category. I think it is important to bring non-educators into the mix. They often present a unique perspective that can enhance the quality of the educational program being created.
