I wholeheartedly agree with Paula. The Wisconsin DPI is a huge reservoir of resources and support for charter education in Wisconsin. Resources are readily available and wide in scope.

I see the major role of the university system as being willing to authorize a charter school if the local school district is not. I have an excellent relationship with my school district, but it is comofting to know that there is a local entity that I could turn to if this was not so.
