competition doesn't have to denote winners and losers 6/9/04 10:19 AM

Otho--Thanks for your remarks.

I know many people believe that talk of competition means winners and losers. However, competition is what allows for the action and reaction of parents and the education providers--if I can't leave or in some way express my needs with some kind of leverage, there is no need for the possible education providers to respond.

I'm happy to talk about partnering with my competitors, but I won't walk away from the notion that the most socially just way to provide high quality options for all families is to foster an environment where the education providers have to compete for those families.
