When founders and originally enrolled families become a minority, when a school's academic success brings in large numbers of families that like the product but don't like all of the details that produce the product, which becomes more important: the original mission and vision or the market demand? A middle ground between vision and sustainability can be hard to find. Educating the new parents helps. It is hard for the original families who feel the dream they worked for is being squeezed out, but choice in a market based educaional field demands attention be paid to the client as well as to start-up vision.
