You have forwarded a great example of how the private sector is becoming more "comfortable" with charter schools as clients. Part of the process is educating the private lenders as to the oversight that charter schools encounter thus making them more attractive as potential clients. I suggest that authorizers become more involved spreading the message that there is oversight of the schools and that information is available that will help lenders make sound financial decisions. I do not believe authorizers should go beyond being an information source and take on the role of recommnending whether schools receive financing.
