Policymakers need to know the benefits of charter schools...do they make a measurable difference in student retention and achievement. I think they would also be inclined to support stronger legislation if the adversarial relationships that exist between charter public schools and other public schools could be diminished through planned sharing and opportunities to learn from each other.
