Charters need to 1) do what they said they were going to do in their charter application 2) concentrate on increasing student achievement 3) collect their data and be able to defend their charter - prove that you are doing what you said you were going to do...prove your students are achieving!
In Arizona, by statute, chartered schools are to increase student achievement and provide choice for parents. To heck with NCLB - if you can't improve a student's performance (no matter what level they come to you) then you are doing no better than the district model the child has left.
