I would add to Joe's three rules: Rule 4 would be to supply good information to new legislators. It's easy for some of us who have been around charters for awhile to forget that nearly every new legislator is coming in with very little knowledge of charter schools and often have poor information. We've been working on a mentoring framework for legislators and hope to have it ready for the national meeting later this summer being held in Wisconsin. It will be made available to all state and national charter groups.
