This is a helpful statistic. Do we know why charter schools close? I am particularly interested in the breakdown of the purpose. How many closed for financial reasons, how many closed for poor student achievement, and how many closed for lack of a facility?

And a somewhat related question, do we know how many charter schools were authorized, but never opened? And of those, what were the reasons? (political, financial, facility)
