Talk more about the positive gains Charter Schools have made over a small period of time. Compare that to the many failing schools within the urban districts. Emphasize the choice provided to poor families, greater teacher accountability, smaller classrooms, and less bureaucracy. Generally people resist what they don't understand. Unfortunately, many Teacher Unions view Charter Schools as a threat. If the emphasis of education is really the success of students, all schools should be able to work together for their good.
