Principal/CEO

Organization: Entrepreneurial – Technical & Engineering Charter High School (E-TECHS)

Job Description:
The Principal/CEO will serve as the chief executive officer of the organization and as the educational leader of the school. They will have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to excel; as well as exhibit a strong belief in the principles, goals and value of the charter school movement. The Principal/CEO will be accountable to the Board of Directors and responsible for keeping them informed about the operation of the school and for working with them to develop and oversee institutional policies and goals. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or knowledge in operating a high-performing school using a project-based, career and technical curriculum focused on entrepreneurialism and math and science professions. They must also be familiar with all areas of school administration including, but not limited to, student/teacher scheduling, facilities management, teacher/staff evaluation, special education, parent/community relations, grant writing, and school finance. Superior writing, public speaking, analytical, interpersonal and policy advocacy skills are strongly desired. Excellent skills in organizational, financial and administrative oversight and staff management are also required. The Principal/CEO is responsible for complying with all pertinent and applicable state and federal laws and guidelines.

Qualifications:
a) A master’s degree in school administration, public administration or business administration; b) At least 5 years of experience in school administration, public administration or business administration and a baccalaureate degree, or c) A valid NV teacher’s license with an administrative endorsement;
