Principal Organization: New Dimensions Charter School Type of Job: Administrator Application Deadline: 05/30/2008 Job Description: The Board of Directors is seeking a dynamic visionary elementary school principal beginning Fall 2008-2009 school year who will be able to articulate, promote and carry out the mission of the charter of The New Dimensions School (NDS). NDS is located in a charming family oriented community in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains serving students in kindergarten through 5th grade. NDS is community of learners in which student achievement, interests and strengths, and character growth are expected and supported in a positive, inclusive, project-base enriched environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide educational leadership for school development and growth. Coordinate/supervise the day-to-day operations and administration of the school; supervise and evaluate teachers/support staff and school programs; report monthly school progress to school board; maintain current knowledge on best practices in elementary education and promote and disseminate information to staff; assist with professional development; oversee school budget and human resources documentations, familiar with federal and state reports. Qualifications: Requirements: Master’s degree in education or related field and currently holds or is eligible for a North Carolina Administrator's license.
